Terms of Service
Effective October 17, 2026
These terms govern your use of mathunderthehood.com (the "Site") and the Math Under the Hood Publisher (the "Publisher"), operated by Math Under the Hood ("we", "us"). By using the Site or the Publisher, you agree to these terms.
YouTube Terms of Service
The Publisher uses YouTube API Services, and the Site embeds videos hosted on YouTube. By using the Publisher, or by watching videos embedded on the Site, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy, and ours is covered by our Privacy Policy.
The Publisher
The Publisher is an internal tool used only by the owner of the Math Under the Hood YouTube channel to upload and manage that channel's own videos. It is not offered, sold, or licensed to anyone else. Its use of YouTube API Services follows the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and Developer Policies.
Our content
- Our videos, animations, scripts, and site content are for general educational purposes. We work to make them accurate, but they may contain errors and are not professional advice.
- Our videos are produced with automated tools: animation with the open-source Manim library and narration with an AI-generated voice.
- Unless noted otherwise, content on the Site and our channel is © Math Under the Hood. You may link to it and share it through YouTube's own sharing features. You may not re-upload or redistribute our videos without permission.
Acceptable use
Don't use the Site in a way that disrupts it, tries to gain unauthorized access to it, or breaks the law.
Third-party services
The Site links to and embeds content from third parties, including YouTube. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Site, the Publisher, and our content are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of them.
Changes
We may update these terms. The current version will always be posted on this page with its effective date.
